Lovely Italian restaurant, if you are seated upstairs you dine below a huge olive tree which is nice. Food is very good and lots of menu options (+specials board). Cost is moderate priced

My Lord, the portions! The haddock was enormous. The chips spilling out. Fantastic value and the fish was cooked perfectly. But the star of the show, oddly enough, were my son's chicken nuggets. Delicious! Again, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Wonderful.
Stands out in a weak field. Top notch fish n chips is a rarity south of the Watford gap. Nonetheless these guys make a good go of things. Portions are generous and fish is coated in a tasty and crisp batter. If you order haddock (go on southerners, be brave!) rather than cod it will usually be cooked to order. Well worth the wait because freshness is king with fish n chips.

Superb Art Deco restaurant. Great jazz pianist when we visited. Food was exceptional. Staff very friendly. Prices good for the quality of the meal. A sophisticated 30’s vibe - unusual outside of London. Highly recommended.
Best food in the area. 3 course set lunch including a glass of wine for £21. Great value and lovely flavours. And always different. Lovely art deco 1930s building. Perfect!

Visited twice over the past few months and have to say the quality of food was a cut above the rest on both visits. The staff were very friendly and quite entertaining. They couldn't do enough for us. This is a must visit restaurant.
I’ve been going here for some time now, the food is very good, portions are decent and the staff have always been friendly and make you feel welcome. Probably the best curry house I’ve been too in a while.

A good selection of Indian food, which is tasty, well presented and cooked to a good standard. Service is friendly and efficient. The decor is contemporary, as are the tunes! There is also a nice bar area at the front of the restaurant where you can have a drink while waiting for a table if you haven't booked. The tables in dining area are tightly packed in and the acoustics can make it very noisy, which detracts from an otherwise good restaurant. We do eat here fairly often, but tend to avoid the busier nights because of the noise.
Amazing food, had such a lovely evening. Would highly recommended, thank you Jez.

Service is spot on, with a wide selection of extremely tasty Currys and dishes. Fanatic food
I'm sure this won't be a surprise to anyone who has been before, but The Curry Garden is the go to place for a curry in Berko. The staff are brilliant, and recognise repeat visitors. They're friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, great for someone like me who likes to try new things. The restaurant it's self is very nicely presented, though tall people will need to duck when going through some of the door ways given the buildings age. The menu has a nice range of different things and me and my wife still find new things to try after a number of visits down the years. Price wise it is certainly well priced, and Tuesday evening is an absolute bargain for the fixed price menu option. In fact I'm surprised it isn't busier on a Tuesday night. Overall, great food in a nice setting served by great people. I recommend The Curry Garden to all my friends and it is our go to place when we want to eat out.

Staff and food both amazing! We had a Groupon deal and it was the best! Will definitely revisit!!! Wish I remembered our waitresses name as would definitely give her a shout out!
Came here for an impromptu lunch and really surprised at how amazing the food was. The king prawns and garlic were exceptional and spaghetti also was delicious. Well priced and great service .

Very lovely staff, great food, catered very well for a party of 14 people and we were all highly impressed! Food was lovely and staff always at hand to make sure we were all having a great time. Thank you very much. By far the best Pizza express I have been too
The staff are very friendly and the pizza is delicious. It also has very good vegan and gf pizza if you want it.

My first visit here and it is brilliant! You have the choice to purchase a prepaid card, which you can use in any of the 4 wine cabinets; you can choose a taster, 125ml, or 175ml glass from any of the wines in the cabinets, and you are outer the drink. The team are experts, and give great guidance based on your tastes in wine
we had a wonderful evening at the Berkeley, with good wines and relaxing lounge like art-gallery. fantastic port and cheese patter. ;)

it's simply the best pub ever! awesome gin collection. great local beers. lovely view. excellent staff and a great landlord.
Hidden gem in Berko. It's a very small pub with a large personality. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing. It accomodates any of your moods! Whether you wanna catch up with friends or just sit down and play sudoku / crosswords whilst having a cider, this is the place to go.

Clean, smart and friendly. It's certainly benefitted from the change of management and serves good quality food and lovely alcoholic drinks. It's still only a little place but it's making up for it's size in so many other ways.
Owners, please give your staff a happy pill. I don't expect much but if I take the time to return my glasses and say thanks, then even a slight smile is not too much to ask for. Other pubs in the area manage to sell stouts and porters but looks like your a pale ale establishment only.

Great food. Ordered by telephone as usual so no waiting when I pick up food. Parking outside.

One of the best Thai restaurants I've been to. The food is delicious, there are plenty of dishes available, and the lunch menu has some tasty combos at reasonable prices. It's easy to book table, and staff are friendly. Be sure to try some of their unusual desserts too.
Food was tasty and refreshing. Price point is definitely higher for the portion size, though reflected in the ambiance and service. Still worth visiting again for a treat to taste other items on the menu.

A lovely place. First time visit with friends. Lovely food. Small portions so if you have a big appetite go for more 4 portions. We had for it was enough for us. But the food was tasty. We enjoyed are evening out.
Very nice Greek food, lovely outdoor patio on a summers day. The staff super friendly. Went with a group of 11 so we had to order off the set menu which as someone who doesn't eat meat or dairy I was freaking out a bit BUT even on the meat Banquet half of the mezze dishes are meat and dairy free so something for everyone. I would say it caters for all diets, vegetarian, gluten free, vegan, dairy free, meat... I only have one tiny complaint... who puts milk in hummus???!!! I have never seen or heard of that, strange, anyway would deffo recommend even despite that, 5 stars...

Called in for a bit e to eat before a film. The restaurant/cafe still interior was nicely styled and service was good and fast. The food was good. We chose the two course deal for £11.99 which was reasonable. Would be more than happy to go back in the future.
I love Bills restaurants and I have been to many of them in various places, Watford, St Albans, Marlow to name but a few. However the one I love best is Berkhamsted. The restaurant location and atmosphere is good and the food is always first class. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. There is one person that needs a special mention and that is Ahab. I am always pleased if he is around when I visit the restaurant as he is so welcoming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for him. He really seems to enjoy his work and actually cares about the customer. He even helped me with my new iPhone and kindly put the Bills App onto it for me....now that is service!. I would highly recommend Bills restaurant at Berkhamsted.

It's a nice pub right next to the canal. But I was hungry and they weren't serving food. In the evening! Seems a bit odd. Anyway my friends and I spent a couple of hours. A few beers. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Perfect place to go in summer, you can eat and have some drinks just near the river. Very good place! Amazing staff and service.
145 High St, Berkhamsted HP4 3HH, UK – 01442 863993
Lovely old pub. Staff were very friendly.happy to chat about the food and things in general. It is a whetherspoon pub and so they have great deals on the food. Ordered gammon and got a massive piece of gammon as well as 2 eggs. It was delicious. Unlimited coffee as well for only £1.25. This included all types of coffee dispensed via a machine on a self service basis. What a good idea.
Friendly staff, always polite and helpful. Typical food and drink choices served with a smile! One of the better pubs from this chain. Gin always served in a proper Challis with correct fruit and plenty of ice. Not like some of the over priced, trendy pubs that Chuck any of slice of poor quality fruit in and one cube of ice! Curry nights always a bargain!
Frithsden, Hemel Hempstead HP1 3DD, UK – 01442 864480
great beer. great service. LOVELY staff. amazing amazing food. go out of your way to eat there. you'll be pleased.
Nice traditional pub in the Chilterns. It's very twee but in an unaffected way. The garden in particular is very nice. The food was delicious. London prices, but that's what you'd expect for the area. There's an interesting house across the road and a vinyard with nice local wine less than five minutes walk away. Well worth a visit.
